TV Manager 2 release date

March 26, 2010

We are very happy to announce the upcoming release of TV Manager 2.

At the 2nd April we are going to start selling a final beta version of TV Manager 2, which has been tested throughly and offers all the features of the final version. It is very stable and has been tested on a wide range of systems. For all we know you can consider it to be “final”. Still we want to continue to include customer suggestions and fix any problems that might appear within the next weeks, so we decided to still call it a “beta”. Of course you will receive all updates free of charge.

Today you can already watch a video trailer on YouTube here:

It would be great if you could help spreading the word about this game. Whether you do so by emailing your friends, using social networks, posting on a web forum or by chatting at work – in all cases we rely on your support and your word of mouth advertising.

TV Manager 2 advantage boosters

March 6, 2010

I am just wrapping up everything in order to start with the final testing. We are just a step away from release.  Excited? 🙂 [I am!]

When switching the game back to the pure single-player mode I thought a second about dropping the advantage booster idea. However I found it to be an interesting way to give everyone the possibility to modify & customize the gameplay to their needs. For example some have asked for the possibility to have exclusive news channels. While the game is not meant to allow this in normal gameplay (it would need to be much more focused on news in order to make this fun for everyone), it is well possible to make an exclusive news channel if you use advantage booster cards.

Basically you will be able to built a deck of 5 cards from about 20 unique advantage booster cards. If not stated otherwise those cards can be stacked for maximum effect.

These booster cards will be available as some kind of mini-addon.

Here is the card concept (suggestions & comments welcome):

Paparazzi – Your news popularity is increased by 5% and does not wear down during the day.

Technician – This top technician allows you to freely change your TV program during broadcasting.
